North Cotabato receives rice machines anew

A total of Php 78.17 million worth of agricultural machines under the RCEF Mechanization Program were distributed to 31 farmers' cooperatives and associations (FCAs) and local government units (LGUs) on February 29 at the Capitol Ground, Amas, Kidapawan City.

Machinery grants include eight units of Rice Combine Harvester with water pump and toolbox, 25 floating tillers, nine four-wheel tractors, nine walk-behind transplanters, seven riding-type transplanters, six mobile rice mills, three single pass rice mills, two hand tractors, and one recirculating dryer.

The activity was graced by the Hon. Governor Emmylou Taliño Mendoza, PHilMech Director III Joel V. Dator, a representative from the office of Senator Cynthia Villar, and other representatives from the LGUs and the Department of Agriculture.

As of 2023, the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Mechanization Program has already granted a total of Php492.30 million worth of machines.
