RPS II boosts agricultural modernization of BAMC
by Vanessa D. Pallar and Vina D. Pallar (November 12, 2024)
"Makabagong pasilidad, produktong dekalidad" as the Bantug Agricultural Multipurpose Cooperative (BAMC) received a Rice Processing System (RPS) II from the RCEF Mechanization Program on November 12, 2024, in Bantug, Talavera, Nueva Ecija.

Modernization is at the core of RPS implementation, modernizing conventional rice processing ways to increase agricultural productivity and farmers' income.

The Bantug Agricultural Multipurpose Cooperative is like one of those organizations that started as a small cooperative that primarily aims to aid fellow farmers in our community)," General Manager Nora DC. Angeles of BAMC shared.

They received an RPS II worth P61.498M consisting of a state-of-the-art multi-stage rice mill with 2-3 tons per hour capacity and two recirculating dryers with 12 tons per batch drying capacity.

We wish one thing for RCEF Mechanization Program recipients, care for the agricultural machinery given by the government).”

Ito ay aming papahalagahan at aalagaan at pagyayamanin upang lalong mapakinabangan ng mga magsasaka (We assure you, we will not waste the RPS II given to our cooperative. We will value, take care, and sustain it so it can benefit other farmers).”

PHilMech, as the lead implementer of the mechanization program, commits to its oath of service to Filipino farmers towards development.

We will choose excellent and effective machinery to enhance rice farmers’ lives),” Director Alvindia added.

The cooperative has 581 farmer-members with a collective 779.25 managed hectares, providing services in merchandising and agri-trading.
