DJI Agriculture supports Y4M advocacy to attract youth to agriculture

The DJI Agriculture Philippines showcased its latest technologies during the Youth for Mechanization (Y4M) boot camp, held on April 14-15 at the PhilMech Main Office in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.

This two-day event catered to senior high school students from the Central Luzon State University-Agricultural Science and Technology School (CLSU-ASTS).

During the boot camp, Mr. Aheiy Bhy Artmer Tolentino, Product Trainer for DJI, showcased the advantages and potential of agricultural drones in enhancing productivity for Filipino farmers. He also presented findings from a recent study conducted in collaboration with the University of the Philippines Los Baños, which indicated promising benefits of drone use over traditional rice production practices.

Additionally, Mr. Miguel Carlo M. Apruebo, Business Development Manager, led a demonstration of the DJI Agras T70 P for the student delegates, giving them hands-on experience flying the drone.

Mr. Jett G. Subaba, Y4M project leader, expressed his appreciation for DJI Agriculture Philippines' support, emphasizing its role in rebranding agriculture in the eyes of today's youth. The drone provider has committed to continuing its support for future Y4M initiatives.

The DJI team, led by National Sales Director Mr. Yiyang Sun, is dedicated to empowering Filipino farmers through innovative agricultural drone technology.
