PHilMech’s Coconut Trust Fund-Field Management Operation Division (CTF-FMOD), in collaboration with the Human Resource Management Section, recently organized a two-day financial management training course for the Coconut Farmers Industry Development Program (CFIDP) on December 12 to 13 at the PHilMech Main Office.

A total of 27 participants hailing from CFIDP Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao clusters, as well as representatives from the Enterprise Development Division and CTF-FMOD, joined the comprehensive training course led by Dr. Andres M. Tuates, Jr., interim director for CTF-FMOD, and Engr. Remelie M. Hermoso, Supervising Science Research Specialist of the Technology Management and Training Division.

The resource speakers for the training were Julieane Camile Lacsina, President and CEO of GoEden, and Justin Levi Guerrero, managing partner of Easytax. Their combined expertise contributed to the two-day training, which was divided into two modules: financial planning for project proposal development and financial planning for startup business operations.

The primary objective of the training was to enhance the competency of entrepreneurs and economists within PHilMech in financial management and comprehension of financial analysis. Through these modules, it was expected that the participants would gain valuable skills crucial for effective project proposal development and successful startup business operations.

Engr. Hermoso expressed her utmost appreciation to the resource speakers and participants for their active involvement in the training. She emphasized the significance of the acquired knowledge in managing and comprehending financial analysis, ultimately enhancing the competitiveness of PHilMech entrepreneurs and economists operating under the CFIDP-SPF project.

The two-day training marked a significant step towards empowering individuals within the industry and fostering sustainable growth in the business side of the coconut farming sector.
