by CTF-FMOD (December 12, 2023)
A first-of-its-kind integrated white copra and cooking oil processing center in the Cagayan Valley Region was awarded under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan – Shared Processing Facility program held on December 6 in Pamplona, Cagayan.

The facilities were turned over to and will be managed and operated by the Sta. Cruz Multi-purpose Cooperative. These modern processing facilities, worth Php12.3M, can accommodate up to 5,000 coconuts daily and are expected to produce around 750 liters of refined, bleached, and deodorized coconut cooking oil.

Dr. Dionisio G. Alvindia, Director IV of PHilMech, and Senator Cynthia A. Villar, Chair of the Committee on Agriculture, Food, and Agrarian Reform, extended their congratulations through a video message.

“I believe that this project will become sustainable because many government agencies are here to converge, to assist, and to guide us. Cruz MPC, expressed.

The municipal agricultural and fishery council (MAFC), various government agencies, and local public servants witnessed the ceremony.
