PHilMech offers a variety of postharvest training courses ranging from general to specialized courses that match specific requirements and needs of its clientele groups. The design of these courses are based on the requesting agency’s situations, issues and concerns, which are gathered from consultation and reference with key officials of the requesting agency.

PHilMech’s training program aims is to promote the development of the postharvest industry by the values, upgrading knowledge and enhancing skills of the various workers in the industry.

    This course is offered to provide a better and deeper understanding of specific postharvest operations or issues like storage pest management, paddy drying, milling and mycotoxin. This course also consists of fundamentals and/or advanced knowledge on the engineering aspects of postharvest such as facilities and processes design and development, operation and trouble shooting, testing and evaluation of postharvest facilities.

    This training course is designed for individuals and groups intending to venture into grains business activities such as trading, warehousing, processing and marketing.

  • Specialized Training Course on Grains and HVCC Postharvest

    This specialized course is designed for postharvest specialist network, engineers and other technical staff who would provide technical assistance to the technology users. The course consists of fundamental and/or advanced knowledge on the engineering aspects of postharvest such as facilities and processes design and development, operation, trouble shooting, testing and evaluation of postharvest facilities.

  • Basic Course on Postharvest Facility Manufacturing

    This course is designed for manufacturers of postharvest facilities developed/or promoted by BPRE. This course provides the participants with the technical know-how on designing, fabricating, operating and testing/evaluation of selected postharvest facilities.

  • Integration of Grains Postharvest Technology (GPHT) into the Agricultural Extension Services

    This course is intended for agricultural extension workers (AEWs) at the village, municipality and provincial level. It covers the general technical aspects of Grains Postharvest and the appropriate extension communication approach that maybe used.
